25 reasons why President Goodluck jonathan is a better choice part 1

The official campaigning for the 2015 general and presidential elections in Nigeria starts soon. Already, Nigerians have started discussing , and  of the current President Goodluck Jonathan administration.
The Goodluck Jonathan administration has been charged with the leadership of a large and diverse entity that is Nigeria, Mr. Nnawetanma starts. In the four years that the Goodluck Jonathan administration has been in power, there have been flaws, successes and giant leaps. Sadly, Mr. Nnawetanma notes, the Nigerian media tends to focus more on the setbacks. That is why getting a comprehensive list of achievements is a“rather daunting task,” according to Mr. Nnawetanma.
The Goodluck Jonathan administration has been “silently transforming Nigeria from its dark ages of underdevelopment to a 21st century economic and political force,” Mr. Nnawetanma writes.
Mr. Nnawetanma has completed a list of implementations of the Goodluck Jonathan administration he considers to be a progress.
1. Promotion and practice of true democracy by creating an enabling environment where people from diverse backgrounds and with divergent views and opinions can be accommodated. Under the watch of Goodluck Jonathan administration,  was registered by INEC as a mega opposition party big enough to challenge the PDP at both state and national levels. This would have been unthinkable some years back.
2. Conduct of free and fair elections in the country, including the 2011 poll which was adjudged to be the most credible election of its magnitude that has ever been conducted in the country, though it was not without its flaws. Unlike in other administrations, the Goodluck Jonathan administration has given a free hand to the country’s electoral umpire, INEC, to perform its statutory duties.
3. Relative non-interference with electoral and judicial matters. This is evident in the number of governorship elections that have been won both at the polls and in the court by opposition parties in Anambra, Imo, states, among others.
4. Liberalization of the press andguaranteeing the freedom of speech in a country where the stifling of the press and suppression of the citizens’ right to freedom of speech used to be the norm, a legacy of over 30 years of military rule. The existence of vocal anti-government media houses and critics would have culminated in some high-profile assassinations some years back, but today citizens are free to air their views whenever and wherever they like just like any other sane country.
5. Opening up of Nigeria to the global business community and becoming Africa’s number one destination of foreign investors. In the first six months of 2014, a total of US$9.70 billion or N1.51 trillion flowed into the national economy as foreign direct investments (FDI).
6. Under the Goodluck Jonathan administration, Nigeria rebased it’s GDP for the first time in over a decade to become the largest economy in Africa, overtaking South Africa and Egypt in the process.
7. Proceeds from Nigeria’s non-oil exports rose to 2.97 billion by the end of 2013, up from 2.3 billion in 2010.
8. Initiation of the YOUWIN program in 2011. The Youth Enterprise with Innovation in Nigeria (YOUWIN) program aims to generate over 100,000 jobs for innovative unemployed youths across the country in the course of three years. It is currently in its third year.
9. Nigerians are now a step closer to being fully integrated into theinternational e-commerce community with the approval and reinclusion of Nigeria as one of the Paypal-compliant countries after being banned from using the service at the peak of the advanced fee fraud (419 scams). With Paypal, Nigerians can now pay for goods and services online from anywhere in the world.
10. Goodluck Jonathan administration is the one behind the revival of the dead automotive industry in Nigeria. Global auto giants like Peugeot, Nissan and Hyundai now either assemble or wholly manufacture small cars, Sport Utility Vehicles, trucks and buses at various locations in Nigeria. In addition to that, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company (IVM), Nigeria’s flagship indigenous automaker, has begun the sale of their first made-in-Nigeria cars and SUVs in August 2014.

PDP.............UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL .....WHAT IS THE STORY?

With the jostle for tickets for elective positions causing unrest in the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), there are strong indications that the presidential declaration by President Goodluck Jonathan scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, might be postponed by one week.
A member of the Media and Publicity sub-committee of the Presidential Declaration Committee, headed by Dr Bello Haliru, gave this hint to LEADERSHIP last night.
“Under the circumstances the party finds itself today, I think a one-week postponement is being considered for presentation to Mr. President,” he said, adding that barring any change in plans, the postponement may be announced today.
It was, however, learnt that this (postponement) is yet to be discussed by the committee, the president and the PDP national leadership.
The party also appears confused regarding how to handle the Adamawa State governor, James Bala Ngilari who is interested in contesting the seat he is presently occupying.

With this new development, I wonder what is really going on in the all united PDP we all know.

President Goodluck Jonathan will launch a new slogan ahead of his formal declaration to contest the 2015 presidential election.
The theme of the campaign slogan will be: “Nigeria first, Nigeria always, let’s do it together.”
The media team of the presidential declaration committee, led by former publicity secretary of the PDP, Sen. Aniette Okon, yesterday declared that the new slogan would serve as the campaign slogan ahead of the elections.
Okon said over 2000 groups, PDP and women groups would be attending the occasion tomorrow.
Speaking with newsmen yesterday, Okon also justified the declaration of the president on Tuesday in spite of the kidnapped Chibok schoolgirls remaining in captivity, saying efforts to get them out are still on.
Other members of the committee at the press briefing are Moji Makanjuola, Chief Andy Agaji, Comfort Obi, Hon Tunde Akogun, Sen. Nicholas Ugbane, Dr Bilkisu Magoro and Alhaji Adamu Yaro Gombe.
Sen. Okon said: “On Tuesday, 11th November, President Jonathan will announce his decision and determination to seek the mandate of Nigerians to serve them for a further four years. Over 2000 groups, including his party- the PDP, stakeholders, women groups and civil society groups will be attending this epoch occasion. For us, it is a momentous occasion that will be encrypted permanently in the annals of the history of the evolution of good governance for the people of this country.
“We will take this opportunity to declare the main message of this event which will form the compelling force for the drive towards meeting Nigerians of all segments of our society. That is why you have been inundated with a new slogan: ‘Nigerians First, Nigerians Always.’ That is the battle cry of the PDP administration and the president as we go forward to seek the mandate of Nigerians.”
On the release of the girls, he said: “We cannot say that until we find the girls we should not renew our faith in Nigeria. Their rescue is an ongoing effort. Of greater concern is their safe return rather than the bravado of the army to get them out; which can result in a pyrrhic victory. We have had situations where the army marches into such situations and comes back with woes.
“As long as there is a window of opportunity to negotiate and bring back these girls, we will bring them back.”
On the funding for the presidential declaration, Okon said the money came from private individuals and not government funds.
“It is not costing Nigerians anything. The process for declaration is an entirely private affair of the president. Many individuals have chipped in (with donations), and I don’t think it is beyond their right to do so,” he said.

IS THIS ANOTHER PLAN TO MAKE THE ENEMY BELEIVE PDP IS IN DISARRAY, LETS SEE HOW IT ALL PLAYS OUT.......

BOKO HARAM 2 (contd)

18 July 2011  - A spate of bomb attacks by radical Islamist group Boko Haram in Maiduguri, capital of Borno State in northeastern Nigeria, and a heavy-handed crackdown by the military, have prompted thousands of people to flee their homes, but why is this violence happening and how can tensions be eased?
Boko Haram was formed by Muslim cleric Mohammed Yusuf in 2002, in Maiduguri. Initially peaceful, in June 2009 the radical sect waged a short-lived armed uprising in a bid to establish an Islamic state in the north. This was brutally crushed by the military in July 2009, leaving over 800 dead, mostly sect members.
During the crackdown, leader Yusuf and several other members including Yusuf’s father-in-law, Alhaji Baba Fugu, were killed in police custody.
Since January 2010, surviving sect members have reportedly been behind bomb and shoot-and-run attacks which have killed dozens of people not just in Maiduguri: An Abuja police HQ was bombed on 16 June.
The group is not easy to monitor, according to Human Rights Watch researcher Eric Guttschuss. “Since 2009 the leadership has gone underground. It’s now unclear what the exact command structure is.”
A spokesperson for Boko Haram told reporters in June that members had received training in Somalia. Okechukwu Nwanguma, programme coordinator with non-profit Network on Police Reform in Nigeria (NOPRIN), said this could indicate Boko Haram has “a link with the global terror movement”.
Other reports have suggested the same thing, saying Boko Haram already has links to international terrorist organizations such as Al-Qaeda, and has the potential to

link with Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) which operates in nearby regions.

 IS THIS NICE.......

BOKO HARAM 2

Boko Haram (pronunced [bōːkòː hàrâm]; figuratively meaning "Western education is sin"), is a terrorist organization based in northeastern Nigeria, north Cameroon and Niger. Founded by Mohammed Yusuf in 2002,the organization seeks to establish a "pure" Islamic state ruled by sharia, putting a stop to what it deems Westernization.

The group is known for attacking churches, schools, and police stations. The group also kidnaps western tourists and has assassinated members of the Islamic establishment who have criticized the group. Violence linked to the Boko Haram insurgency has resulted in an estimated 10,000 deaths between 2002 and 2013. President Goodluck Jonathan in May 2014 claimed that Boko Haram attacks have left at least 12,000 people dead and 8,000 people crippled.

The group exerts influence in the northeastern Nigerian states of Borno, Adamawa, Kaduna, Bauchi, Yobe and Kano. In this region, a state of emergency has been declared. The group does not have a clear structure or evident chain of command and has been called "diffuse"with a "cell-like structure" facilitating factions and splits. It is reportedly divided into three factions with a splinter group known as Ansaru. The group's main leader is Abubakar Shekau. Its weapons expert, second-in-command and arms manufacturer was Momodu Bama.

The Boko Haram leadership has international connections to Al-Qa`ida in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), Al-Qa`ida core, Al-Shabab, the Movement for Unity and Jihad in West Africa (MUJAO), Mokhtar Belmokhtar’s factions, and other militant groups outside Nigeria.Attacks by the group on international targets have so far been limited. On November 13, 2013 the United States government designated the group a terrorist organization. On 22 May 2014, the United Nations Security Council added Boko Haram to its list of designated al-Qaeda entities, bringing "funding, travel and weapons sanctions" against the terrorist group.

Several Nigerian Muslim authorities condemned the group and its ideology. Dr Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, the Niger State governor said, "Islam is known to be a religion of peace and does not accept violence and crime in any form" and that Boko Haram does not represent Islam. The Sultan of Sokoto Sa'adu Abubakar, a spiritual leader of Nigerian Muslims, has called the sect "anti-Islamic" and, as reported by the website AllAfrica.com, "an embarrassment to Islam". The Coalition of Muslim Clerics in Nigeria (CMCN) have called on the Boko Haram to disarm and embrace peace.

TUFACE IN BABY ISH AGAIN

HAS  TUFACE SCORED AN EARLY GOAL BEFORE  THE WORLD CUP.....

While Tuface Idibia and his wife Annie are trying hard to deny the story that he has put his account officer in the family way, the lady has finally broken her silence, revealing all that happened between she and Tuface.

Her name is Teniola and she is a big girl in one of the top banks in Lagos. She said 2face has been enjoying her secretly for sometime now until the "rough play" resulted in pregnancy and he started asking her to go in for an abortion but she refused. She said the story was leaked to the media so as to protect her life.

She decided to speak after Annie tried to defend Tuface. In the words of Teniola:

"My name is Teniola. Please I want my privacy kept secret. I just want to respond to Tuface’s denial of my pregnancy. I‘m 3.5 month pregnant for him and he is fully aware of it. His recent denial is to appease his wife and I understand that...

"Note, I didn’t receive any money from the magazine that published my story. My elder sister took my story there to draw public attention incase something bad happen to me. And I’m not really happy about it. Please I want privacy for myself and my unborn child."

In his earlier reaction, Tuface had claimed that the story is false and that if he impregnated any lady he would be the first to tell the media. On her part, Annie Idibia said those who wrote it want to spoil her happiness.

But now that Teniola has finally come out to speak by herself, it's believed that Tuface may decide go and do the honourable thing then keep quiet and take care of his unborn baby mama as the price of his enjoyment".

Teniola said she is not for trouble but that Tuface should know that séx without condom leads to pregnancy.

Coping with emotions especially in pregnant women

Everyone will quite agree that this is a stunning figure with curves in the right places but once pregnancy comes in which is a time of joy for married couples and parents alike but we are quick to forget that there are emotional issues that accompany it.
For a woman, pregnancy comes with physical changes that comes with hormonal shifts that may result in mood swings.
According to psychologists, our feelings towards pregnancy arise from our thoughts and beliefs about pregnancy, birth and motherhood. Therefore, acknowledging our feelings is a good starting point to deal with our thoughts ideas about pregnancy.

1. Physical change: there is an inevitable change in dress sizes and that is one of the first things that affect women. (self consciousness) After all that time spent looking good and staying trimmed and thanks to pregnancy you are now a plus size woman. The best way to cope with this first change is understanding why and how this changes occur and what stages these changes occur and most especially Celebrate your new shape and the spouse plays a vital role in this also by encouraging and been an understanding man because women will definitely make you have double thoughts if you guys understand (wink)
2. Re-evaluation of self: During pregnancy, an average woman goes through that phase of  self evaluation, your personality and most especially identity crisis. A pregnant woman redefines who she is and what her priorities are
3. Insecurity issues: This is one of the biggest problems pregnant women face, they always have that fear that their partner is repulsed by their swollen body parts and almost always feel their men have others girl friends. This is where the man comes in to re-assure them and make them feel like the queen they are.
This is just a tip of the iceberg for we are yet to deal with more issues associated with pregnancy and its emotions.
Next publication will throw more light on other issues like irritation and a host of others especially the role of a man in helping her feel good about her body
